Callous thieves have ransacked a home in Great Barr, making off with thousands of pounds worth of jewellery.

The burglary took place on Queslett Road between 7.15am and 6pm on Tuesday, September 5.

Describing what happened Kevin Pitt, police engagement officer for Walsall, said: "The offenders have climbed over the fence to enter the rear garden and then forced open a ground floor window.

"Once inside they have searched the house and made their escape taking several items of jewellery including a gent's watch and several Pandora bracelets.
